Model History

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat appeared on the scenes of the automotive world in 2015 and surprised many with its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 producing 707 horsepower and an instant modern muscle icon. From 2016 to 2018, the model received minor updates while maintaining the same power. In 2019, however, Dodge would introduce an even crazier Hellcat Redeye with 797 horsepower courtesy of the larger 2.7-liter supercharger borrowed from the limited-run Demon. That year saw an increase in standard Hellcat output to 717 and the introduction of a widebody for enhanced handling and aggressive styling. In 2020, the widebody models became stacked in the lineup and were impressive both performance and visuals wise. The performance scene raised another notch in 2021 with the introduction of the Challenger SRT Super Stock, a drag-ready version with 807 horsepower. On Dodge’s way to retiring its V8 muscle cars, it issued special “Last Call” editions in 2022 and 2023 to honour the Hellcat with design touches and limited numbers. And so, the year 2024 signified the end of a most memorable chapter in American muscle car history.

Stylish from Inside and Out

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is a masterpiece intermixed with raw performance. Underneath its hood lies a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine that features 717 hp and 656 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the best strong muscle car. With a deafening growl and robust acceleration, it can shoot off from up to 0 to 60 mph in  3 seconds, depending on the trim. The Hellcat isn’t just about performance—it’s a statement of style, inside and out. Coming with a bold and a retro-inspired design that pays homage to classic muscle car, while on the other hand the interior is styled with a premium look including leather and Alcantara, a driver-centric cockpit and high-tech features like SRT Performance Page, 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto and High-performance 4-piston brakes. The Challenger SRT Hellcat is perfect blend of sophistication, engineered extraordinary trill.

Should You Buy a Used Dodge Challenger SRT-Hellcat Engine?

Purchasing a pre-owned Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat engine is one of the best decisions ever made when trying to save money; still, it is quite risky. High-performance engines tend to be well-driven so that it is very important to confirm the mileage, service history, and whether the engine has been in an accident. Always buy from well-known sellers that will give you a warranty or guarantee of engine’s condition. Have a qualified good mechanic look at the engine before purchase and if possible, choose the one that has been compression tested. If everything checks out, a Hellcat engine can give an enormous amount of power at a more affordable price.

What we think?

At Tagore Automotive, we believe buying a used Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat engine is a great option—if done right. These engines are meant for high performance, but often pushed hard therefore, it is imperative to find one with a known history, verification of proper maintenance, and low miles. We always promote purchasing through reputable sources and confirming that the engine has passed through rigorous testing, preferably with warranty coverage. With the right precautions, a used Hellcat engine can offer incredible value and performance without the new-engine price tag.
